Padma Awards 2010

Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan is to be honored with “Padma Bhushan” award on the occasion of 60th Republic Day.

44-year-old star, who made his directorial debut with the critically-acclaimed “Taare Zameen Par” in 2007, recently came out with “3 Idiots” that has become the highest-earning movie in Bollywood.

Music maestro AR Rahman has also been conferred with the Padman Bhushan. Rahman won the Oscar and also multiple Golden Globe awards for the music of the Hollywood film Slumdog Millionaire in 2009.




Star cricketer Virendra Sehwag and Badminton star Saina Nehwal have been chosen for the “Padma Sri” Award.





 Yesteryear Bollywood Diva Rekha and actor Saif Ali Khan too have been selected for “Padma Sri” Award.

Highly-placed sources said that eminent theatre and film personality Zohra Sehgal is also likely to be given "Padma Sri".
